Job Title: Transport Planner

Description: THE ROLE

My client now seeks a TRANSPORT PLANNER with a couple of years post graduate experience to join their office in Chesham, Buckinghamshire.

Our client works on a range of multi-disciplinary projects with a focus to grow the Transport Planning department.

Duties will include Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Transport Strategies, preparation of Travel Plans as well as Travel Plan Coordination. Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings.

Using junction assessment software to establish capacity on the highway network, preparation of outline highways drawings, management of small and medium scale projects, liaison with clients, sub-contractors and highway authorities.

You will assist with other traffic / transport related tasks.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a large multi discipline firm of construction and engineering consultants with offices across the U.K.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to be a Transport Planner with around 2 or 3 years experience in the UK.

You will have a relevant Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering or Geography.

You must have good experience of MS Office plus be able to use AutoCAD.

You should have gained some working experiene of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.

You must have good communication skills and good commercial awareness.

You should be keen to work towards chartered status.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience.
