Job Title: Senior Technical Support Engineer
Rate:£65K to £75K Per Year    Benefits: plus bonus and benefits
Description: My client is a leading global growth equity firm operating in capital and strategic support for growing companies. Long established they offer sector specific expertise to build outstanding global businesses.

This role forms part of a larger global IT infrastructure support team providing a clear focus on delivering the highest standards of customer satisfaction. The primary purpose of this role is providing 1st and 2nd line technical support as well as initial technical support for infrastructure incidents and service requests. The Global Infrastructure Support Team manage internal and third party vendor resources maintaining their computer operations, cloud infrastructure management, network, mobile and AV/telecom capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering technical requirements, starting the incident management process,and participating in performing critical maintenance and upgrade services. You will also be working with other IT support and engineering teams as required.

Your background and expertise will include much of the following:
An excellent understanding of client/server operating systems, networking, and Internet technology fundamentals.
Fully understand Incident management, Request management and ITIL service operation concepts.
A good knowledge on cloud based application support and mobile device administration (Android/iOS) is a plus.
A strong working knowledge on Office 365 administration and also supporting issues related to Microsoft Office suite.
Exposure to various Video conferencing solutions such as Zoom, WebEx, etc.
Support and maintain office IT infrastructure like Desktops, Laptops, VC Rooms, HUB Rooms, Data center and other networking devices.
A knowledge on Bit locker Drive Encryption (MBAM), Symantec Endpoint protection manager (SEPM) and VPN technologies.
Hands-on experience Patch Management and deployment technologies like SCCM, WSUS.
Good experience on Virtualization technologies such as VMware/vCenter administration is a mandate.
Configuring and managing Active Directory services, group policy management.
Knowledge of handling Centralized Monitoring solutions like Lab-tech, Kaseya, Solar winds, Nagios etc. is a plus.
Administration and Troubleshooting knowledge of Windows client/Servers operating systems, DHCP, DNS.
A sound knowledge of terminal services technologies like Citrix, Remote Desktop (RDS)
