Job Title: Java / Back-End Developer
Rate:£49,698.55 to £63, Per Year    Benefits: negotiable
Description: JAVA Back-end Developer, German speaker

- Location: on site in Mannheim (Germany)

- Type: Full Time, permanent employment

• Ensuring the technical development and operation of our partner system based on Java 8
• Integration of complex software solutions in our application landscape
• Supporting and shaping the transformation of our mainframe applications into distributed Java applications
• Conception and programming of innovative Java applications in agile projects
• Working with the product owner on technical concepts for a variety of professional requirements

Candidate's profile:
• Relevant degree in computer science or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Good knowledge of the following technologies: Java (Java EE, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA / Hibernate, SQL / DB2, JBoss EAP, Tomcat, Git)
• Experience with integration technologies (REST, Camel, Docker, Messaging with JMS and ActiveMQ)
• Previous experience in the finance industry desirable
• Experience and / or interest in agile development methods
• Communication skills - ability to clarify the technical issues to non-technical users
• Teamwork, initiative and problem-solving skills

Must have:
- Java
- Hibernate
- Spring
- Fluent/native German speaker is a must

Nice to have:
- Experience in insurance / financial services
