@mecscomms is recruiting a contract logistics analyst, support administrator & project coordinator to work for a Global IT, Technology, Cloud, Telecoms Carrier & Network service provider in Newbury, Berkshire, UK. The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for analytical support, administration, project coordination & the support and management of supply chain inventory management systems.

We will consider applicants from a wide range of backgrounds including those with retail, customer services, office administration and similar commercial experience or entry level / junior / school and college leavers.

Duration: 6 months+ contract

Overview:

The Logistics Analyst role is an opportunity for an administrator to be responsible for systems administration & supply chain management, on a long term contract assignment. You will deliver administrative support & reporting analysis for the stock management, logistics and supply chain management process. Duties will include carrying out data entry, handling requests, updating project plans, database records, customer information and producing management information reports & stock control data across the department. The role is responsible for analytical support for the implementation of Network Stock Systems across the UK, which provide cradle to grave inventory management for all mobile network assets.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor & action supply chain & logistics requests

• Coordinate between delivery teams to track and record stock control & supply chain activity

• Effectively manage all data sets relating to Network Stock Systems & update systems as necessary

• Provide management information with regards to the progress of supplier and 3rd party compliance

• Identify, recommend & implement process improvements to ensure system data is maintained in terms of accuracy quality

• Review off line data sets within the Network Stock Systems & rectify errors as required to insure data accuracy

• Manage to resolution daily supplier exceptions covering goods receipt and materials request notes

• Internal & external liaison with other support services to effect updates to Network Stock Systems where required

• Raise tickets where required to manage data issues & exceptions

• Generating monthly reports

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Accountable for making system changes to reflect information provided from offline data sources

• Accountable for the accuracy of data held in the Network Stock Systems to reflect the ‘As Is’ State

• Accountable for the production of management information required from the NSS

• Hold Internal & external stakeholders accountable to SLA’s in terms of providing data to be added to the NSS system

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have had some customer services or administration experience and will be willing to learn logistics, supply chain, inventory management & project coordination skills. You can come from a variety of backgrounds however you attributes are likely to include some or all of the following:

• Good communication skills, both verbal & written

• Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach

• Attention to detail

• Numerate

• Ability to work with vast data sets and manipulate in and organised and efficient manner

• Computer literate with the use of Microsoft Office (email, word, excel)

• Strong excel and spreadsheet abilities

• Knowledge of SAP systems is highly advantageous

• Understanding of database structures and governance

• Diplomacy skills to persuade and influence functional business areas

• Interested in working in a corporate office environment
