Location is North London and Heathrow, Middlesex (see below)


THE COMPANY:

This is a leading global enterprise software company and an SAP Solution Extension Partner. They are now looking for a sales professional with a strong background in the sales of enterprise software to sell their SAP suite. The position is based 1-2 days per week in their north London office (near Euston and King’s Cross), 1-2 days per week in the Heathrow SAP office and the rest at customer sites.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The experience required for this role is as follows:

• A degree
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in selling enterprise software (for our definition of “enterprise software”, see below).
• Experience in at least one of the following industry sectors: Consumer goods, retail, high-tech, biotech, pharmaceuticals, electronics.
• Experience in the full contract negotiation lifecycle, from creating offers to contract closure
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel (up to 50%)

Please note the above criteria are essential – you require all of the above to be eligible for this role. Previous knowledge or experience of SAP ERP would be hugely advantageous to you, but is not absolutely essential.

By “enterprise software” we mean any of:

• ERP software like JD Edwards, Baan, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Infor, Epicor, Lawson, Netsuite, MS Dynamics
• Large financial systems
• Billing systems
• Banking systems


THE ROLE:

The product range is their suite of SAP products, mainly around various aspects of finance. You have a wide target market here in that the products are relevant to, as one hiring manager put it, “Anyone that makes something they need to sell, or anyone who distributes something for someone else.” hence all the industry sectors mentioned above are relevant.

This is not high-volume sales, this is a consultative sell and it is envisaged that you would typically be working on around ten opportunities at any one time. You’d be mainly generating your own leads, but there are some leads forthcoming from trade shows.
