Pay: £35,000 - £45,000 (plus benefits, pension, healthcare etc)

My client, a leading software development company based in North Manchester is seeking to hire an experienced Project Manager to deliver key software implementation projects on the back of a sustained period of growth. You will manage multiple projects using specific tools and techniques, managing the agreed scope of work to be delivered. You will follow Industry best practice software delivery lifecycle processes and procedures ensuring security is also assessed throughout the project delivery. As Project Manager, you may be expected to support colleagues (Sales / Account managers etc) on the delivery of work for clients. This may involve some client management/liaison at times. This key opportunity will be ideal for a highly motived project manager seeking their next challenge within a high growth and successful software development company.

Key Responsibilities:

* To set and then manage against project cost and scope
* To manage programmed/project financials
* To direct, motivate, plan and monitor the project teams
* To Act as the primary point of contact during the Project Implementation
* To work with the client and monitor the commercial agreements to track any changes
* To contribute to the project planning process by preparing and maintaining a realistic plan for the allocated project
* To communicate progress through appropriate means such as project reports, meetings with customer etc
* To take overall responsibility for the project delivery and progress
* To build and maintain effective relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders

Key Skills:

* Experienced Project Manager within Software Services
* Excellent planning and scoping techniques
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good financial acumen and planning
* Good problem-solving techniques
* Ability to deliver project on-time and to budget
* Prince 2 Practitioner
* Commercial management experience
* Knowledge/experience of the energy & utilities markets would be an advantage
* Ambitious and driven
* Knowledge of ISO standards
