GSA Techsource are currently working with one of the UK`s leading technology consultancies to find 6 Java Developers for an urgent project based in one of Newcastle`s coolest areas, alongside the River Tyne. 

The client specialise in outcome based projects for government clients, working on platforms that serve millions of users throughout the UK annually. 

The client don`t just want candidates with strong technical ability, but people who are genuinely passionate about building fantastic digital products for their clients, who will make a real impact on day to day life in the office and become an integral member of their engineering team. 

You will be a real tech enthusiast, problem solver and enjoy working as part of a team. In terms of technical skills, the following skills are essential:

- Strong core Java skills
- Experience of web development with spring MVC or 3+ years` with Spring Boot micro services
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework (3 and above) and a clear understanding of dependency injection
- Good understanding of Hibernate/JPA and Object-relational mapping, including performance considerations
- Experience with build tools such as Maven, gradle
- Continuous Integration- Jenkins/Gitlab Cli
- Experience developing REST based web services
- Experience integrating systems using a wide variety of protocols like REST, SOAP, JSON and a number of others
