Who will I be working with?

Arriva TrainCare (ATC) is an independent rolling stock maintenance and refurbishment business based in Crewe, with depots across 5 locations in the UK. What will this role of Rail Trainer / Assessor entail?

Reporting to the Manager of the Competence and Training team, you'll be responsible for preparing, delivering and evaluating operational training programs and assessments. You'll use your creativity and up to date knowledge to develop and produce literature and materials to be used in these programs, in addition to designing exercises to enhance training sessions. You will also deliver training courses on Depot Safety, PTS and Designated Person across all depot locations.

What will I need to be considered for this Rail Trainer / Assessor vacancy?

* Proven track record of designing and delivering a range of technical and interpersonal skills learning solutions specifically in the rail industry, with full understanding of depot operations.
* Hold a PTS and have delivered NSARE accredited safety critical training within the rail industry previously e.g. Depot Safety, PTS and Designated Person
* Qualified to a minimum of C&G / BTEC Level 3 within Engineering and have practical experience within engineering.
* NSAR registered Licensed Trainer.
* Assessment/Assessing/Assessor qualifications (A1, TAQA, CAVA, ACWE, AVRA, IQAA, A2)
* Good IT skills, fully conversant with MS Office including Word and Excel.
* Ability to motivate and encourage people.
* Accurate report writing and record keeping skills.
* A full and valid driving licence.

What will I receive in return?

Salary: c. £34,760 (pro rata), level dependent on experience. Salary potentially negotiable for those with substantial relevant experience, to be discussed at interview

Working Hours: Full time. 37.5 hrs per week, working hours to suit the needs of the business, a combination of days / nights, weekdays and weekends.

Contract Type: 6-month fixed term contract

Location: Crewe (Cheshire), with national travel.
