Salary: 80,000 (Experience depending) + package total close to 100,000

The Company

I am managing the recruitment for a industry leading product focused company operating in the temperature measurement field at a very high level. With a international presence, and the engineer team working out of their well-established site close to Sheffield. Demands for their leading product mixed with an increasing reputation across Europe means this role is critical and an immediate need:

Day to Day Activity:

•Provide leadership for the EMEA & India direct sales team and secure sustainable growth of the LAND business by taking share from direct competitors.
•Define the “go to” market strategy pf each territory by market vertical
•Drive sales forecast accuracy and funnel growth for direct and in-direct sales in the region.
•Work with the Business Unit Leadership Team and local Country Management to optimise the Cost of Goods Sold and maximise profitability within the regional offices.
•Manage the organisations relationships with independent representatives (non-employees), resellers, distributors or agents across the region.
•Conduct regular review with the direct sales team in the region to build effective channels of communication, understand training / development needs and to provide insight to improve performance.
•Use solution selling methodologies to sell the value of the business, products to distributors and customers.
•Report the Point of Sale (POS) data from distributors every month and analyse data to find ways to continually improve the go to market strategy.
•Make partner and customer visits, provide sales presentations for all the product lines, assisted by Applications Support to technically qualify the customer’s needs.
•Provide valued support to Channel Partners by promptly replying to their needs, providing guidance and ensuring a strong drive to results.
•Build upon the success of our existing network of partners; coach and drive continuous improvement as well as analysing new routes to further develop market and customer penetration.
•Develops and implements the company’s plan to manage pricing, margins and costs to maximize sales and profitability and facilitates the collection of unpaid or disputed invoices in conjunction with the accounts department.

This is a senior manager level opportunity for expert sales manager with the following experience:

•Senior level experience of selling instrumentation and systems internationally to major players in Steel, Glass, Industrial Gas, Power and other process industries.
•Proven track record of successful Channel Partner Management including appointing vertical focused partners
•Development and implementation of a Regional Business plan for Sales and Marketing activities
•Customer focused attitude, a minimum of 5 years successful sales experience and distributor management experience
•Strong team player with the ability to work successfully in a multicultural organization
•Fluent in English language (a second European language is desirable)
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•Ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value propositions
•Experience in developing large deals directly with the end customer

Qualifications/ Experience

• Degree in Engineering or Physics (or closely related field)
• 5+ years senior industry experience delivering sales across a technical field
