Description: Privately-owned Country Inn situated in one of the Lake District`s most picturesque and idyllic villages on Coniston Water are looking for a full time Head Chef to join the team of 4 Chefs to continue the excellent reputation of the establishment.The Inn caters to a wide market of residents and non-residents in its Pub and separate Cafe/Restaurant.By day, The Inn is popular for breakfast, light lunches and snacks and a range of home-made cakes.By evening, it transforms to a popular venue serving restaurant quality food and bar meals.Reviews are excellent and the owners are committed to continuing the high quality dining experience developed by the previous incumbent.The successful applicant will have flair and talent to produce menus which are impressive but can be produced with ease and with maximum profitability using local produce and fresh ingredients.He/she will be required to take on
responsibility for food hygiene, safe-working, purchasing/negotiation with local suppliers and will have a good head for commercial matters.Minimum qualification NVQ Level 3 or Level 2 with 3 + years` experience at Head Chef level and a demonstrable record of competence and success.
