Job Title: Lead IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Rate:£50K to £60K Per Year    Benefits: Additional benefits
Description: The Business

A brand-new IT consultancy based in a prominent office close to the beach in Brighton, formed in partnership with a digital product agency.

The Role

This is a senior role within the business, to provide IT Project Management consultancy and services to accounts and clients across the UK. You will be responsible for managing key projects, developing our approach, ensuring our projects generate value, and for growing a new Project Management practice.


• Facilitating weekly project status meetings
• Weekly one-to-one with stakeholders to go through project RAGs and status reports
• Ensure accurate and robust budget monitoring against the project plan
• Own the repository of documentation relating to the project process and ensure that they are consistently used across projects.
• Ensure that there is a consistent use of tools across projects
• Work with both internal and client technical teams to set up our processes, and train teams on how to follow them accordingly.
• Ensure post-project reviews are in place for all projects and that lessons learned are clearly communicated and actioned.
• Communicate the results of the PPRs back to clients.


• Provide ad-hoc support to assist with the delivery of work.
• Assist in the initial setup of projects and approve project plans and RAID logs before they are shared with the client.
• Standardise the documentation of projects and ensure that templates are kept up to date and consistently used by all team members.
• Facilitate sharing of best practices, collaboration and identifying the need for formal training.


• Develop our methodology and approach to successful, outcome focused project delivery that generates customer value.
• Advocate change and champion our approach internally and externally.
Project Management Skills Required
• Proven project management ability with experience of running successful projects of significant cost and complexity.
• Considerable knowledge of web technologies, capabilities and limitations.
• Considerable knowledge of enterprise IT systems.
• Significant experience with managing digital projects and working with creative and technical individuals.
• Experience of both Agile and Waterfall type methodologies
• Must have practical Agile experience and Agile Certification
• Knowledge of PMI, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile (SCRUM), and/or Six Sigma (Lean) methodologies
• Previous experience of managing teams of IT professionals, vendors and on/off-shore resource.
• Strong executive presentation skills

Consulting Skills Required

• Passionate, persuasive, articulate Project Management professional capable of quickly establishing interest and credibility in how to deliver projects and programmes of work.
• Strong written, and verbal skills.
• Experience in enterprise applications, solutions and data centre infrastructures.
• Ability to work with team members from around the globe/experience working with off-shore models.


• Prince2, PMP or Agile certification(s)


• 5 or more years of project experience, ideally within a large enterprise
• 5 or more years of experience within IT, ideally within a large enterprise
• Exposure and working level knowledge of working with and interfacing to multi-discipline delivery teams
• Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams.
• Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality.
• A good understanding of design and the importance of a great user experience.
• Highly organised and efficient.
• Confident working with others to inspire a high-quality standard.
• Should communicate with warmth and positivity.
