THE ROLE
I am now seeking a HIGHWAYS BUSINESS MANAGER to join our client, working closely with a local authority client based in SALFORD, GREATER MANCHESTER.
You will have a history of managing a highways, drainage and traffic business in a locla authority environment, ideally having worked for a private sector outsourcing firm.
You will manage and set client highway service budgets for a local authority client.
You will manage and direct a team of technical employees.
You will support and progress all highway elements of the contract.
You will be able to identify potential clients and markets and be able to secure new commissions.
THE CLIENT
The client is a large UK firm of multi disciplinary firm of engineering consultants working closely with a number of local authority clients.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a highways engineer by training and have progressed in to senior level management to be able to lead a unit working with a number of local authority clients.
You will have had experience of profit & loss, setting budgets, and business development etc.
You will have experience of leadership and direct line management responsibilities including performance management, resource planning, supporting training and development of staff.
You must have extensive experience of project and programme management for highways.
