The Role Our client are seeking a talented Senior Database Developer to help develop a unique business transformation analytics platform and related products. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in both development the product day to day, driving the technical roadmap and being involved in helping to make our data-driven client projects successful.



As a technical data lead, you will report to the Managing Director and will provide technical leadership on all aspects of data across the business.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior/Lead Database Developer, you will be responsible for the development of key processes within the business and to manage and lead all aspects of data on their analytics.

You must therefore have strong, demonstrable experience of leading and driving data in small businesses and can show breadth of experience from development to data management.

On a day to day basis as Senior Database Developer you will be required to develop new analytics and ways of using data in response to client requirements and therefore having the ability to write your own queries is a must. You will also be required to advise and investigate new technologies that can revolutionise the current platform.



Your Skills

Must have

• Proven MySQL

• Strong SQL development (planning/configure/design/execution/testing)

• Strong data modelling & manipulation (transformation, loading, etc)

• Demonstrable experience providing technical leadership in the data domain

• Experience working in a large organisation

• Query development & optimisation - debugging & fixing queries

• Understanding/familiarity of ETL/EAI tools (Talend, WS02)



Ideally you will have experience with



•Amazon Web Services Relational Data Services

•graph databases (e.g. Postgres, PostgreSQL or Neo4j)

•Preferably a DevOps background, -
