Job Title: Financial Analyst
Rate:£400.00 to £401 Per Day
Description: 3-6 month contract based in Barrow-in-Furness
minimum 400 per day (negotiable)

Job Summary/Purpose
To assist the incumbent Asset Accountant with closing out any legacy (pre 2018) third party cost reconciliations, and provide analysis and backup on budget overspends

Job Outline & Challenges
Operating a number of assets on behalf of a third Party. This role is focused on addressing the analysis required with respect to this Third Party.
The primary responsibility is to ensure timely close out of the following:

2017 Budget overspend analysis - Justification and supporting documentation for any significant overspend on Third Party budget line items. This should subsequently lead to approval and settlement from Third Party

2015 Annual Reconciliations - Recovery of outstanding amounts chargeable under our previous commercial agreements with the Third Party

Other - Adhoc analysis as required. Provide support to Accountant as required

Key relationships will be as follows:-

- Accountant & Timewriting Coordinator
- Aberdeen Finance team
- Budget Holders

Key success factors for this role will be - Timely close out of all open Reconciliations and Budget overspend analysis. Minimal follow-up queries and challenge from Third Party upon receipt of Reconciliations and Budget overspend analysis

Person Specification

The following attributes have been deemed as key for the role - Thorough approach to financial analysis, with good attention to detail. Self-starter, with keen focus on delivery, accuracy and timeliness. Good communicator who is able to explain complex reconciliations in a clear and concise manner. Proficient IT skills, especially SAP and MS Excel
