Job Title: Out OF School CO-Ordinator
Rate:£9K to £12K Per Year    Benefits: Part Time Term Time Only
Description: A fantastic Nursery and Out of School Club, situated within a highly reputable Primary School’s grounds in Basildon is seeking an Out of School Co-Ordinator.

The working hours for the role are split, with the club opening both before, and after school during term time, and all day in the holidays.

As Out of Schools Co-Ordinator you will play a key part in the leadership and management of the nursery setting, and as such you will have relevant post qualifying experience at level 3 or above and previous supervisory experience.

You will be responsible for the care of school aged children attending the setting before, and after the core school day, as well as during the school holidays.

As Out of Schools Co-ordinator you will role model and support Out of Schools Practitioners in the club to ensure that the setting’s commitment to offering the very best care is upheld at all times, as such you will have an in depth working knowledge of Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.

As Out of School Co-Ordinator you will oversee the drop of and collection of club children to the school in which the setting is situated, and plan and deliver a range of stimulating and age appropriate activities to ensure children are offered the very best care and engagement.

Some of your responsibilities as Out of School’s Coordinator will include:

• To lead the Out of Schools Team to ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment

• To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team in your room reflective of the appropriate stages of development

• To work in partnership with parents and carers

• To follow and implement all of the policies and procedures set out by the setting.

• To keep abreast with current thinking and best practice.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• Level 3 in Playwork, or childcare and education or recognised equivalent.

• A firm and thorough understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED outcomes, and best practice delivery.

• A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.

• Supervisory Experience.
