Job Title: Referral & Assessment Childrens Social Worker
Location:South East London
Rate:£28.00 Per Hour
Description: Lambeth Council is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Worker to join their Referral and Assessment Service. Role & Responsibilities

* Assess Children and their Families who may require a Social Work service
* Draw up plans with, and for, individual children and their families
* Undertake preventative work with families to reduce the need for care or accommodation.
* Work with children and young people, families, carers and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs and contribute to service planning.

Job requirements

* A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
* A valid HCPC registration
* Significant experience of working as a Qualified Social Worker within MASH team, or a Referral & Assessment team
* An understanding of the current legislation relevant to Child Social Care
* A clear enhanced DBS
