THE COMPANY:

We are currently working alongside a well-established, family run business in the Wokingham area who are looking to expand to meet their ambitious growth plans for 2018. The company has an excellent reputation in the machinery industry, working with large blue-chip clients and SMEs to provide purchasing and selling opportunities.

They are looking for an exceptional individual to strengthen their sales team. The successful candidate will be a driving force in growing revenue streams through buying and selling manufacturing/packaging machinery to existing and new clients. They will use a variety of methods including prospecting and face-to-face appointments to attract potential clients and use their excellent closing skills to secure deals. International travel is also possible with this role, with the sales team recently venturing to mainland Europe to win business.

On offer is a basic salary of 22,000, plus a great commission scheme that promises realistic earnings of 30k per annum for an on-target performance. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual who is self-motivated and able to achieve highly in a relaxed, autonomous working environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Creating and executing a purchasing and sales plan to achieve the purchasing and the sales targets for the designated area
* Cold calling a list of known companies to reach prospective sellers and purchasers of manufacturing machinery
* Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
* Organise and attend machine viewings & presentations
* Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
* Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
* Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
* Travel between offices and to meet clients when necessary



REQUIREMENTS:

This role is ideally suited to a results-driven individual with at least 1 year of experience selling into manufacturing industries. The following attributes are also highly desirable:

* Self-motivated, team player, good negotiator.
* Engineering/manufacturing experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries would be ideal.
* Sales, purchasing and management experience is highly desirable.
* Familiar with CRM system(s)
* Refined interpersonal skills
* Results orientated
