Job Title: Management Information Support Clerk
Location:Shropshire
Rate:£8.00 to £9.00 Per Hour
Description: This main purpose of the post is to support operational management of field social work services across the council, focussing on children at risk of significant harm and in need of tier three/four social care services.

Duties

* Recording and maintenance of accurate data base information.
* Meeting with staff on a regular 1:1 basis to ensure compliance in relation to data entry requirement.
* Reporting to key persons in relation to recorded information, including Service Managers and IT Systems Business Analyst.
* Liaising with ICT in the creation of reports for a range of purposes including managerial requirements.
* Attendance at and contribution to Performance Working Groups and other similar meetings.
* A range of general duties in support of staff in compiling with the database requirements of the service.
* Ensuring that manual and electronic records are closed, and liaising with ICT on the destruction of the electronic records, in accordance with service requirements. This includes archiving and records management.
* Flexible cover for other MISCs located within the Directorate, to ensure that service demands are prioritised and met.
* Act as CareFirst support for practitioners, assisting them with data entry and interpretation of their recording requirements.
* Responsible for data quality within the CareFirst database. Respond to data quality reports, chase missing information and input information to the database in accordance with timescales of local and government performance indicators and statutory returns.
* To comply with safe systems of work in accordance with the Council’s Health, Safety and Welfare policies and procedures.
* To develop an understanding and awareness of issues related to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice and to demonstrate this in carrying out your duties.
* Responsible for promoting continuing personal and professional development of self through staff development processes.
