About the Role

This person will manage our overall New Centre Opening and Existing Estate refurbishment and upgrade programme. This includes planning and managing all resources including the relationships with our external partners. Work must be delivered against time, budget and quality KPIs with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas.

Key accountabilities

•Programme manage the construction of all NCO’s and Refurbishments in conjunction with our out-sourced partners. Ensure clear planning of priorities with the business and that delivery is focussed on these priorities.
•Ensure any impact on cost, time and quality issues are escalated and dealt with in a timely manner.
•Ensure all work delivered is in line with our global design standards and guidelines.
•Plan and manage all refurbishment and maintenance of our existing estate to ensure minimal disruption to customers
•Plan and prioritise work to maximise Return on Investment for the business.
•Ensure Design and Build partners are utilised where appropriate and other contractors are effectively engaged using appropriate competitive tendering where Design & Build is not appropriate.
•Robustly manage supplier’s performance in line with contractual agreements whilst maintaining a positive relationship and ensuring suppliers remain engaged and committed to delivering our NCO and refurbishment objectives.
•Utilise strong network of contacts so we partner with the right suppliers.
•Maintain a continuous improvement focus on all third-party supply chain activities in the NCO and Refurbishment program. Focus on cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality enhancement and reduction of time for delivery and execution through third parties.
•Ensure all payments are managed accurately for the NCO and Refurbishment program and that payments are certified properly for all work.
•Ensure all contracts are managed and administered effectively and that all incentives and penalties are properly applied to drive contract performance.
•Ensure the procurement and management process for third party supply arrangements within the business are reviewed and managed actively. This may include areas of opex spend through third party arrangements.
•Aim to consolidate suppliers where possible and introduce scale benefits where these can be delivered.

Skills and experience

•Significant programme management experience gained in a fast-paced environment such as Retail, Retail banking, Hotels or Professional consultancy. Used to managing multiple openings to demanding timescales and tight budget controls.
•Strong procurement experience with track record of managing third party supply chains in the delivery of construction and maintenance programmes
•Highly commercial and results focussed - significant experience of reducing cost whilst improving standardisation.
•High drive with strong attention to detail. Can cope with a high degree of ambiguity, uncertainty and change.
•Strong resilience with the ability to keep focussed on the big picture and end goal.
•Previous experience of refurbishment and maintenance management is desirable.
•Ability to positively influence multiple stakeholders across countries and cultures.
•Experience in selecting and managing preferred partners for large Design and Build programmes through a competitive tender process would be advantageous.
