Rate:£130.00 to £160.00 Per Day

Have you got at least 2 years’ experience in a 2nd Line Support position?
My client is a Managed Service Provider, who are part of the Government Framework. They specialise in providing high quality IT services to the public sector.

They are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join them on a 6-month contract. You will be part of a busy helpdesk, as well as visiting a variety of client sites. You will be given a company vehicle to use, as you will need to drive to many locations in and around South East/Central London.

You will need to hold a full and clean driving license.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the point of contact for the end client, liaising with them directly to ensure all work is completed on time and to the agreed SLA’s.
• Must have experience of troubleshooting Printer issues.
• Perform accurate assessment of issues, and resolving them where possible.
• Provide technically accurate solutions to users and customers.
• Deployment of pre-configured equipment on site.
• Troubleshooting.
• Build, Configure, and Deploy equipment.

About you:

• Ideally you will have at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
• Confidence in dealing face to face with customers, and be able to remain professional at all times.
• Excellent Windows 10 practical experience.
• Knowledge of hardware and systems software installation and support.
• Knowledge of current Microsoft Windows computer operating systems.
• Knowledge of PC hardware components and peripherals.
• Knowledge of standard business applications e.g. current Microsoft Office suites, popular web browsers, Microsoft Exchange email clients.
• Experience of technical problem resolution in a Microsoft Active Directory/Windows Server environment.
• Experience of working with Mac and iPads as well as Dell laptops.
• Office 365 and SharePoint knowledge.
