Job Title: Quality Technician
Location:Bridgend
Rate:£15.54 Per Hour
Description: Quality Technician - 3months

Purpose/Objective Of Role:

Reporting to the Product Compliance Manager – Quality, in this post your key responsibility is to support the Production, Sales & Marketing departments



Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Responsibilities

* Follow the SHE processes and procedures on our site at all times, constantly thinking about the safest way to do things.
* Get involved in SHE activities and look for opportunities to make improvements.

Look after your safety and the safety of your colleagues by challenging and reporting unsafe behaviour and conditions.



Key Responsibilities:

* Provide a support service to the Production, Marketing & Sales areas



* Conduct product audits across all relevant departments



* Verify processes or products to determine conformance to requirements



* Work with the production departments

in undertaking corrective actions to resolve problems.



* Maintain confidence levels on all critical supplied components i.e. random batch sampling, internal process controls, supplier appraisals



* Conduct internal Quality System Audits & compile finished reports



* Calibration of measuring equipment
*

Performance Indicators:

The outputs that this job must which correlate to the account abilities.





* Trial of the Pyx samples collected and verified OTIF



* Customer samples verified OTIF%

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Although not mandatory, engineering apprenticeship and qualification preferable.
* You have a working knowledge of product/process statistics i.e. capability studies (SPC).
* Computer literate, with the ability to use computer software, including the use of statistical analysis packages and integrated software packages.
* Excellent analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to develop potential solutions and present the solutions to management is critical to this role.
* Capable of assuming full responsibility for the role without the need for supervision.
* Exceptional communication skills across a broad group including Leadership team and the initiative in providing solutions are essential to the success of this role.
* Understanding/experience in improvement projects & environment
