Job Title: Design Manager

Description: An exciting opportunity to join a growing region of a national contractor. Working from their picturesque Cumbrian office you will be working on the design of a 15m commercial scheme before moving to an equally idyllic site office.

The Opportunity

A well-known and well-established main contractor would like to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager to cover a large value project in the beautiful location of the Lake District. Working closely with the client to develop the project design of a 15m commercial scheme which includes both new build and refurbishment elements. If you are looking for an exciting, high profile scheme with a nationally respected construction group, have a proven track record providing design from inception to completion, as well as having on site construction experience on projects in excess of 10m or more please apply below. The Role

Working closely with the client to develop the project design of a 15m commercial project which includes both new build and refurbishment elements. Joining this at Reba stage 2 you will be working closely with the client to develop the design of this project. You will be required to develop the relationship with the client in order to establish their requirements and how to best achieve this in the project design.

Skills and Experience

• Previous main contractor experience in a similar role, working closely with the client to develop the project design.
• You will need to be experienced in design software such as ASTA.
• Previous, relevant experience in a successful design role of significant projects in the construction industry.
• Successful track record of working with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of key project processes such as design principles, management and construction processes.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Able to build and maintain key stakeholder and participant relationships.
• Results and quality focussed individual.
