Description: Principal Software Engineer / Architect - Java, Spring

I'm working with a globally established finance software business with a technical product office in Cardiff, and are looking to hire a Java Software Architect to work with the product teams, comprising UX, Developers, Architects and Testers; to deliver projects that will be used by some of the biggest finance houses in the world.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and hands-on Developer looking for a step up; or an experienced Software Architect looking for a new challenge. You'll work closely with Product Owners and the Head of Development to design, develop and deliver multiple concurrent new products across several teams. The tech stack is Java with Spring frameworks and REST web services. You'll have a background working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, and an appreciated of Cloud services.

There's an excellent package on offer, and salaries range up to around the 60-70k mark, depending on experience.

Essential Skills
- Background as a Software Engineer and/or Architect in Java
- Broad experience developing new products end to end in an Agile discipline
- Spring frameworks
- REST and / or SOAP web services
- Continuous integration
- Maven / Jenkins / Docker
- Agile methodologies

Desirable Skills
- Financial services experience
- Relevant qualifications
