Job Title: Senior Practitioner - Children'S Social Work Team

Description: Kent County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Children's Social Work Team holding Child Protection, Child in Need and Looked After Children's cases. Kent County council has been rated 'excellent' by the Independent Audit Commission and prides itself on providing its Senior Practitioners with consistent support, training and development opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

* Managing a Children & Families caseload relating to Child Protection, Child in Need and Looked After Children's cases
* Assisting less experienced team members holding complex cases
* Writing detailed assessments to formulate and review care plans
* Writing court reports and assessments
* Attending court
* Report and assessment writing
* Section 17 core assessments
* CIN plans and reviews of the effectiveness of plan S7 reports
* Supervision orders Family assistance orders
* Co-working with other professionals from partner agencies
* Duty

What you need

* HCPC Registration
* Professional Social Work Qualification
* Enhanced DBS
* Previous experience of Child Protection, Child in Need and Looked After Children
