Job Title: RF Systems Engineer
Rate:£ Per Day    Benefits: negotiable
Description: WA Consultants is seeking an RF Systems Engineer to work on a long term contract at a leading edge communication solutions company based in the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

* Systems Analysis of technical requirements and published standards
* Extract and refine test requirements.
* Establishing test strategies.
* Defining and developing test methods.
* Working closely with the SW and HW design teams during the initial system integration phase.
* Formal System testing.
* Raising product defects and working with the design team to arrive at effective solutions.


* Significant experience in the system test of wireless communication equipment and/or network equipment, for example:

* Digital transmission systems and modulation techniques (MIMO, OFDM, QAM, )
* RF link budgets
* Use of Lab Equipment (e.g. Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.)

Additional useful items Wireless standards experience (802.3, 802.1)

* Network Traffic testing techniques
* Use of traffic test equipment and analysis - IXIA / JDSU / Wireshark
* Experience with MySQL and Python
