Job Title: 3rd IN Charge
Rate:£18,500 to £19,500 Per Year
Description: A 3rd in Charge position has just become available at a fantastic, well-resourced, nursery in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience as a 3rd in Charge to join a committed and professional team or for a Room Leader who wants to progress in their career.

This role is part-office, part-room based. You will support all rooms to ensure best practice and also have office duties. You will gain experience in a more senior role with prospects of progression in the future.

This role is 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm.

The nursery in Bedford is easily accessible by train, bus or car. Parking is available at the nursery.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• To lead the Nursery Team to ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment

• To plan, prepare and review the curriculum reflective of the EYFS

• To work in partnership with parents and carers

• To follow and implement all of the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.

• To keep abreast with current thinking and best practice.

• To supervise the room staff alongside the Deputy and Nursery Manager.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• NVQ 3 childcare and education or recognised equivalent.

• A firm and thorough understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED outcomes, and best practice delivery.

• A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.

• Supervisory Experience.
