Superb career opportunity for an experienced team leader with a solid understanding of mechanical / electrical engineering within rail vehicle maintenance activities, to join the professional operations of Arriva TrainCare, at the Bristol depot.

Arriva TrainCare provides Light and Heavy Train Maintenance services to the railway industry from its five strategically located maintenance depots. What will the role of Service Delivery Leader entail?

Reporting to the Depot Manager, as the Service Delivery Leader you will support the delivery of all Light Maintenance engineering activities within the depot by:

* Leading, supporting, motivating and working with the members of the maintenance teams to achieve the set production targets
* Communicating and participating in planning across other departments, enabling stronger team cohesion and more effective working across the depot
* Ensuring trains are maintained, serviced and cleaned safely to agreed quality standards to meet the operational and customer requirements
* Acting as a key contact for the site and customers for problem solving, at times outside normal office hours

What will I need to be considered for this Service Delivery Leader vacancy?

* Good working knowledge of rail vehicle light maintenance, both electrical and mechanical
* Proven experience of working within rail vehicle depot operations
* Experience of leading a team
* Apprentice trained CI Fitter / Electrician, qualified to NVQ level 3 in Engineering, ideally with Rail Traction & Rolling Stock (or equivalent)
* Good understanding of depot operations and railway reporting systems, i.e. Equinox, Maximo, Ravers 2 and Nexala
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
* Driver operator / shunter assessment in relevant class of vehicle (desirable)

Experience of lean management techniques would be advantageous, as would the completion of Competence Assessor A1/A2 training or working towards, and good knowledge of applicable health, safety and environmental standards and requirements.

What will I receive in return?

Salary: £42,941 per annum

Working Hours: Average of 40.5 hours per week, 6pm to 6am working on a 4 on 4 off shift roster.
