Description: This a fantastic opportunity for an Accountancy/Finance graduate with a foundation in purchase ledger and reconciliations to receive comprehensive training and support and excel in a wide ranging Accounts Assistant position!

Working for a global, and rapidly growing, financial services firm, the Accounts Assistant will initially work in tandem with the current position holder, taking on the following responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the purchase ledger
• Processing supplier payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Issuing and processing invoices
• Calculating and posting prepayments, accruals and depreciation
• Producing full balance sheets and P&L reports
• Processing employee expenses
• Assisting with budget develop

To secure this rare opportunity, the successful Accounts Assistant will possess:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Accountancy or Finance
• At least 6-12 months’ experience in a role requiring them to manage the purchase
ledger and undertake bank reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills allowing them to liaise with suppliers and third parties
• An extremely proactive attitude
• The ability to work at speed without sacrificing accuracy
• SunSystems knowledge would be desirable but is not essential
