Overview:

A Microsoft Lync and Skype for Business implementation engineer is required to join the deployment team of this leading Unified Communications and Network Services provider.

The SfB implementation will join the Enterprise Voice delivery team, responsible for the end to end implementation, delivery and rollout of cloud based and on premises Skype for Business enterprise voice solutions.

The implementation engineer will be involved in the full end to end deployment project including, development, design, configuration and deployment of customer solutions from across the Skype for Business, Microsoft Collaboration Suite and Unified Communications product portfolio. This will include providing technical expertise throughout the complete lifecycle of Microsoft unified communications projects - presales, design, implementation, training and user adoption and handover.

Responsibilities:

# Plan and facilitate the delivery and implementation of Microsoft Lync, Skype for Business and other associated enterprise voice and unified comms collaboration solutions

# Engage in customer workshops to understand technical environment and new solution roadmaps, to successfully rollout and provision cloud based or on premises enterprise voice and unified comms solutions

# Coordinate with design, presales, 3rd parties, customer stakeholders & other internal teams to facilitate the smooth delivery of new unified comms system deployments

# Manage & facilitate migrations from existing legacy infrastructure to new solution deployment & handover

# Commission, build, install, implement, test and activate new customer unified comms solutions either remotely for cloud based solutions or on customer site where required

# Maintain implementation & project standards, update deployment guides to assist project teams with future engineering designs and other implementations

# Support the project and operational teams with technical subject matter expertise and provide escalated support for complex technical issues or root cause analysis

Skills Required:

Candidates should possess previous experience with multiple enterprise voice deployments demonstrating a variety of traditional voice and software skills such as how to integrate voice into the Microsoft stack; lync, skype for business, office communicator etc. Your background is likely to include exposure to some of the following:

# Microsoft Collaboration Suite, MS Lync, Skype for business, SfB, Sonus, Broadsoft, SoftSwitch, CloudPbx, Virtual switching, Enghouse etc.

# Unified Comms, Networking, Pbx, VoIP, Contact Centre, Call Centre, Call Recording, Audio Code, Cisco, Mitel, Avaya etc.

# WAN & LAN infrastructures, Cloud services, Virtualisation solutions, IaaS, SaaS, IP VPN etc.

# Microsoft solutions stack, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows Server, Microsoft Office 365, MS Dynamics etc.
