Job Title: Oracle Developer
Location:Manchester, Greater Manchester
Rate:£40K.0000 to £44K. Per Year    Benefits: Benefits
Description: Oracle Developer - Manchester, Crewe or Wrexham

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years Oracle experience with exposure to both Oracle Forms and Reports. You must also have experience using PL/SQL and ideally you will have some exposure to DBA activities such as creating tables and triggers. Familiarity with ETL and middleware technologies is also an advantage.

More important than the technical skills are evidence that you are a good problem solver, a focussed and dedicated developer with the ability to work on your own as well as with a team.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Typical work activities include:

* Working across the full development lifecycle and covering Application Support, Development and System Improvements.
* Designing and developing Oracle Forms/Reports and PL/SQL packages and procedures.
* Designing and developing integration between core on premise and cloud based applications.
* Thinking creatively to bring new ideas and concepts to the existing application.
* Estimating the time required to complete work, providing the finished items inline with the original estimate.
* Ensuring quality delivery of software including creating documentation and completing testing and code reviews where needed.
* Taking full ownership and responsibility for applications developed providing ongoing application support if required.

Qualifications & specialist training required:

Minimum of HND or Degree with appropriate experience in Computing/Software engineering or related discipline.

Experience required:

The essential skills/attributes are: -

* Strong experience working with a small, highly skilled design teams, and working to tight deadlines.
* Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports 6i minimum.
* Experience of working with Oracle database technologies, in particular SQL, PL/SQL, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers and Views
* Exposure to the full development life-cycle, including requirement gathering/analysis, design, development, testing, Implementation and support.

The desirable skills: additional ideal experiences should include :-

* Exposure to Oracle Data Integrator or Oracle SOA suite.
* Experience with Oracle Financials ERP and customization including using BI Publisher reports.
* Experience using Subversion version control.
