Job Title: Technical Manager

-Maintain paint processes at optimum operation and performance to meet the yield requirement and peak demand of available capacity.
-Lead the technical team in project work, this may include NPI, Yield optimization, 8D activity
-Maintain up to date paint line technical control plan
-Facilitate paint line metric collation and review
-Maintain paint line laboratory, including defect analysis and in series testing
-Coach and train the technical department Engineers and Team Leaders
-Liaise with other functional managers within the Paint department


-Maintain an audit ready technical department
-Ensure each technical stage of the process operates under optimum application conditions
-Adherence to technical control plan
-Facilitate Paint line yield monitoring, defect analysis and action feedback
-Maintain weekly/monthly and quarterly operating metrics (paint line application)
-Assess current technology for effectiveness and compare to new technology within the industry
-Yearly CI planning
-Yearly capital planning
-Technical team training and gap analysis


-Ensure that all departmental work is carried out in line with work instructions and QMS
-Ensure that all technical functions are working in line with business plan, QMS and OEM requirements
-Review functional operations in a structured manner LPA/PDCA/CCAR
