Job Title: Lead Data Scientist

Description: NP Group are working with a leading, global data science consultancy who are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join their established practice. The company works across multiple sectors: insurance, education, real estate, hospitality, marketing, financial services and entertainment. They deliver marketing effectiveness by influencing consumer behaviour through a unique approach that blends predictive analytics, behavioural science and data-driven ad tech.

The role is centred around the use of analytics to enable their clients to provide targeted advertising that resonates with each recipient. The company combines commercial and public data with quantitative research to predict everything from consumer behaviour through to what products and services people are likely to buy. They have one of the strongest technical data science teams in London and are carrying out large scale machine learning in Scala and Spark.

Requirements:

* PhD and/or MSc educated in quantitative subject, e.g Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc
* Minimum of 3 years' data scientist commercial/industry experience
* Expert knowlege of Python, SQL and Machine Learning techniques
* Knowledge of Scala and Spark is good but not essential
