Our client:
. Our client recruiting offer consultancy services to the building construction Industry and programmed maintenance management groups. They also provide help and advice to homeowners on all structural and conditional surveys.
. They have extensive experience in the design of new and refurbishment projects, along with planning and project management.
. This consultancy provides full structural and civil engineering services to local authorities, architects, building surveyors, commercial and private clients using the most up to date computer aided designs techniques.
. They are working on various commercial and residential projects right now such as retail centres, social housing, new residential complexes, schools, universities, offices and stadiums across the UK.

About the role
You will provide CAD drafting and technician services to the structural engineering team on a wide range of projects using the latest 3D modelling packages to accurately illustrate engineering design solutions.
Naturally, the responsibilities of a Technician are highly varied but will typically comprise:

o Drawing/detail production from Engineers sketches and from scratch using architectural drawings and or concepts. o Take responsibility for drawing issues and daily housekeeping in terms of both digital and hard copy project file storage. o Responsible for ensuring delivery of drawing work to agreed project programmes, whilst meeting commercial targets. o Develop concept ideas into drawing details. o Assist in developing systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD system is used effectively. o Ensuring that drawing production follows company standards. o Reviewing fabrication drawings to check compliance with design and ensuring good detailing practice is being undertaken. o Work within the team and other disciplines to assist in the enhancement and development of the group's BIM capability.

About you
Successful candidates will have a strong knowledge of AutoCAD, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to meet the droughting requirements for the team.
Knowledge of Revit is preferred but is not essential. You will be inquisitive and motivated to learn about technology, and passionate about finding ways to enhance the team's BIM capability.

Additional requirements include:
o Good communication skills, experience in working as an integral member of project teams and delivering to external clients. o Sound computer and IT skills; use of Microsoft Office software essential. o HNC, HND or equivalent qualification with good numeracy and literacy skills would stand you in good stead.
