Job Title: Software Verification Engineer
Location:Stevenage
Rate:£ Per Hour    Benefits: Competitive hourly rate
Description: Software Verification Engineer required to perform software V&V activities (both statically and dynamically) of embedded, real-time systems application software.
This is a hands-on role developing test approaches, scenarios and test instructions using in-house and bought-in tools targeting C/C++ languages.
The role requires involvement throughout the project life cycle supplying guidance and support in areas such as estimation, planning and reviews.
The engineer should constantly be appraising software testing approach considering new approaches, automation, process and tools to ensure a robust and cost effective testing approach.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:

Mandatory knowledge of C++ and ideally significant experience in the testing of software for embedded hardware.

Ability to work with engineers from other disciplines and within an international context.

The software under test will be used across multiple products and sites, so strong communication skills are essential.

An experience of test tools and techniques in both host and target environments.

A good knowledge of modern development practices and standards such as DefStan 00-55 & RTCA 178B/C would be desirable. Familiarity with the LDRA toolset would be an advantage.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
