Job Title: Operations Technician
Rate:£11.41 Per Hour
Description: Our client are a global player in the medical devices industry. We are looking for Operations Technicians to join Randstad Inhouse Services on a temporary basis at their site in the City of Inverness.


The role offers a highly competitive Financial Package. This includes:

Skills and Qualities:

* High attention to detail is essential for this role. Operations Technicians are required to operate a high volume work station, throughout their shift they will monitor product quality and ensure the correct paper work, compliance and quality procedures are followed. GMP (good manufacturing practice) is implemented on our client’s site. Product integrity and safety is of the utmost priority.
* The role of a Operations Technician is hands on, we therefore require candidates with a high level of manual dexterity, and good manual handling.
* Operations Technicians will use both light and heavy machinery throughout their day, therefore we are looking for candidates who are comfortable and able to use computers.
* Full gowning procedures must be adhered to in the production areas, therefore personal hygiene and cleanliness is vital whilst working onsite.
* As our client runs a 24 hour operation the Operations Technicians are required to work 12 hour shifts over a number of shift rotas.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Your typical day as a Operations Technician will start with a handover from your shift leader, here you will be given a brief on challenges and targets set out for your shift. Our client operates 24 hours a day, on commencement of your shift you will take over a work station from a colleague.

Throughout the day you will have various tasks on a rotational basis, these may include the following:

* Using Human Machine Interface systems / Machinery (Light and Heavy Industrial Machinery) and the subsequent control panels.
* Quality control and product integrity testing
* Using computers for production requirements / operations
* Full appreciation for health and safety legislation and local onsite policies
* Inspecting products

Education and Qualifications:

There are no specific educational requirements for this role. However we would prefer candidates with good written and spoken English and basic numeracy skills. Candidates with a mechanical/manufacturing background would be preferred.
