The Company has an amazing opportunity for a Reception Manager to join this independently owned country house hotel located on the outskirts of Havant. Leading the Reception team, taking responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high standards of service within this country house hotel, creating fantastic memories for their guests. This is a permanent position.

In a location famed for its natural beauty, which makes it an ideal base from which you can explore the area, with energetic walks along the waterside and sea shores of the South Coast.

Key Features of the Role:
Leading the Reception team, taking responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high standards of service within this country house hotel, creating fantastic memories for their guests.
Actively contributing to driving sales, you will ensure the Reception team are inspired to achieve upselling targets.
Leading activities that continuously develop the skills and capabilities of your team, you will be committed to ensuring that every team member feels valued and engaged.
You will work to manage the care and replacement of equipment, ensuring high standards of Health and Safety in all activities undertaken.

Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a hotel Reception Manager background, with professional administration, managerial and customer service skills, as these will be integral to the role.
You must be passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality to The Company's guests whilst demonstrating a thorough knowledge of hotel products and services.
The ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner is essential.
The hotel wants you to have a good level of IT skills from a current and previous receptionist manager role, so you are able to work with computerised booking and payment systems, plan rotas, booking data, event diarising, forward planning and producing ancillary reports.
Being a professional and high quality hotel Reception Manager you will also be required to display excellent written and spoken communication skills.
You must have experience of interacting with customers and the public always offering the best possible level of customer service.
Being professional at all times with language, tone and portraying a positive and robust attitude, patience and tact. Someone who wants to go that extra mile helping a customer.
Finally, the hotel requires you to be hands on, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Having experience of managing several things at once, while displaying a smart, calm and professional appearance at all times.
You should have experience of recruitment, disciplinary procedures, training and motivation.
Experienced and robust when it comes to handling customer / client complaints.
You will need to present a smart appearance in a face to face environment.
Managerial qualifications or other relevant qualifications preferred but not essential.
You must have a good telephone manner and a professional customer services approach.
You must have your own transport or live within close proximity to the Hotel.

A basic salary range from £25,000 to £27,000 depending on experience.
Company uniform and meals provided.
As you are part of a stand-alone hotel this is a great opportunity to get stuck in with lots of other business areas to help you further your skills and knowledge.
Shift work between 7am and 11pm Monday to Friday, with the main hours 9am to 5pm.
