Job Title: Process Improvement Engineer (Manufacturing)
Rate:£38K to £42K Per Year
Description: BASIC FUNCTION:
The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer will work in a multi team environment to identify, evaluate and lead projects related to complex business, logistics, manufacturing and assembly process opportunities. This position will leverage Lean Six Sigma tools and processes as a means to drive a continuous improvement culture that challenges the status quo within the company.

• Works under general direction of the Operations Director EMEA and with guidance from the Manager, Continuous Improvement (US) on assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity for successful completion
• Lead & participate in team-based problem solving methods to achieve key initiatives focused on Lean culture, cost reduction, process capability & quality improvements
• Champion Lean Six Sigma & its deployment through effective Lean foundational elements & standard work processes
• Delivers training and coaching for Lean Six Sigma tools and projects
• Support manufacturing by troubleshooting processes/equipment and take appropriate corrective action.
• Provides leadership & process engineering technical guidance to Operations teams & Management, to achieve business goals & objectives related to continuous improvement
• Develop formal process qualification protocols and reports
• Work to ensure process specifications, procedures, and controls related to new product assembly are well documented and communicated before launch
• Ensures local site adoption of continuous improvement and global assembly standards
• Lead and perform research and data analysis to identify and develop hopper projects
• Implement appropriate Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
• Create reports and dashboards for critical product specifications and Operations KPIs
• Adhoc duties and projects as requested.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Demonstrated knowledge& in-depth experience in the application of continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience in conducting and participating in project identification and selection processes/workshops
• Expert in data collection systems, data analysis and statistics including Gage R&R, Hypothesis Testing, DOE, SPC and Process Capability
• In-depth Lean knowledge/experience applying Lean concepts and principles across an entire value stream
• Proven track record of problem solving skills
• Expertise in manufacturing optimization
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including training experience
• Self-starter that has the initiative to complete assignments without direct supervision
• Able to effectively work as a part of a team toward meeting company goals
• Ability to influence/coach counter-parts or others not directly supervised to achieve business objectives
• Considers and understands financial impact of decisions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Able to work extended hours and travel in critical situations
• Advanced skillset in statistical software tools such as Minitab
• Has some experience using computer based warehouse management system (WMS), use of SAP WMS a plus

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc.) in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience demonstrating skills in the above duties
• Project management experience desired
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt training ideal
