Job Title: Senior Project / Commercial Manager (Midlands/York
Location:Rotherham
Rate:£60K to £72K Per Year    Benefits: benefits package
Description: Our National/International Utilities Client is seeking an experienced Project Commercial Manager ideally from a major civil background to oversee delivery of their key projects

Our client provides gas and electricity site works, meter installations and energy supply contracts, to connect business customers, contractors and developers to the grid. They are UK leaders in the design, installation and maintenance of cost effective heating and hot water systems and a range of renewable technologies for large commercial properties.

We are looking for an individual who will lead in the safe delivery of projects, as well as taking full responsibility and financial control of projects being delivered by their team.

You will have:

Substantial proven project management experience in a Utilities, M&E, or construction environment;
Commercial awareness;
Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation;
Able to travel across the UK as the needs of the role requires;
NEBOSH certificate;
Previous experience of operating at senior level;
MS Project. experience


KEY DUTIES

Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services;
Development of project financial plans;
Financial responsibility for the delivery of the annual projects plan;
Ensure positive cash flow and that all debt is controlled.

Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects;
Engage with supply partners in a manner that ensures all risk is appropriately apportioned and drive performance against SLAs.

Assist the Operations Manager to recruit and retain talent for the present delivery and future growth of projects;
Liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties;
Make certain that their team comply with project management policies and procedures;
Carry out monthly and ad hoc project review meetings covering all aspects of Health & Safety / CDM Legislation and Requirements;
Ensure the Operation Manager and Project Managers are fully trained and equipped to deliver projects to the right standards.
Conduct performance reviews and create individual PDPs for all direct reports.
