Job Purpose:
A well-established independent insurance brokerage are currently recruiting for a Personal Lines Insurance Account Handler. A great opportunity to further your insurance career and gain insurance qualifications.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
To successfully broke new business enquiries and insurance renewals and provide a first class service to clients by fulfilling their insurance requirements.
To handle day to day queries from clients and act as point of contact.
To build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers and other staff within the Company.
To liaise with colleagues to share information about the current insurance marketplace, and to assist them with any insurance queries.
To comply with service standards at all times, to ensure the best service is provided to clients.
To provide insurers and underwriters with accurate information to ensure they can assess each risk correctly.
To maintain accurate files and to ensure copies of correspondence and telephone notes are correctly recorded.
Core Competencies
PC Literate
Excellent communication skills
Previous insurance experience of dealing with new and existing business clients and have good keyboard skills and excellent telephone manner.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

One important thing to note, if you are not Cert qualified, it will be a contractual clause that you gain the Certificate in Insurance within 12 months of joining. (Our client will pay for the exams and study text).

Further information:
37.5 hours a week which would include 3 x 9-5 shifts, 1 x 9-5.30 and 1x 9-7 shift.
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, which increases to 30 days after 5 years’ service.
3 month probation period, after which you will be invited to join a generous pension scheme and healthcare scheme.
