Job Title: Engineer Support Executive - Maternity Contract

This is initially a 6-month contract, which will be extended for a further 2-6 months. There could also be an option of further roles available thereafter for a great candidate.

The organisation is a specialist retailer in high-value fixtures and fittings. They have been operational for over 15 years and work with some of the best designers and finest materials to offer the best in design, innovation, and quality.

With a sales driven, professional and focused approach, they work together to create and sell sophisticated market leading products to their large network of prestigious hotels, architects and house builders, merchants and independent retailers.

The Role
To support and coordinate the in-house and 3rd party engineers. This will involve managing the engineer’s calendars ensuring that all visits are attended in a timely manner, visit reports are received and updated on the back office system and parts are ordered and delivered in readiness. Liaison with Retailers, Customers and Sales Executives will be an intrinsic part of the role so the ability to manage priorities and key stakeholders to resolve customer issues is paramount.

• Managing and co-ordinating engineer visits throughout the UK
• Responsibility for ensuring product/spare parts are correctly ordered and available for engineers prior to their visits
• Ensuring receipt of and collating engineer reports so they are available for the customer if required.
• Generation of job sheets
• Liaison with customers confirming details and timing of appointments
• Terms and conditions and pre-authorisation of chargeable costs for visits to be agreed with customers
• Ensuring all issues are resolved and closed in a timely manner or escalated to the appropriate manager for further remedial action
• Delivering excellent customer service in a sometimes challenging environment
• Communication to multiple stakeholders in complex and demanding situations

Key skills and qualifications:
• Managing Engineers/Technicians a distinct advantage
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Experience within an office based customer service environment
• Proven ability to be confident in communicating
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach and demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability to focus on solutions rather than problems
• Expresses passion and enthusiasm within the role
• Proven track record in delivering service excellence as a first priority
• Intellectual and enthusiastic
• Quick to adapt and learn new skills
• Good MS Office skills
