Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Rate:£30K to £35K Per Year
Description: 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer Permanent 30,000 - 35,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global asset management company.
Working in their London office you will be providing 1st and some 2nd line support and be responsible for desktop coverage primarily for their UK and Asia offices, supporting a user base of approximately 55 employees.

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently when providing sole support to remote offices during parts of their shift, as well as, collaboratively with the team during overlapping hours. Working hours are 07:00-16:00

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Providing exceptional IT customer service and resolution for the London office and remotely for Asia and US offices.
You will be capable of preliminary diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution in areas such as email, network connectivity, remote access (VPN), mobile devices, and Windows desktop.
Ensure all service disruptions are resolved within service levels and any root‐cause analysis is conducted to resolve underlying issues.
You will configure and test all desktop and laptops systems as assigned as well as
mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.)
You will be responsible for supporting and monitoring video conference meetings. Work closely with PEP AV specialist and become a key contact for all VC needs in London office.
You will have a minimum of 3 years of desktop support experience. Experience in an alternative investment, financial services, legal or consulting environment preferred.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, especially when working under stressful conditions and able to multi‐task and finish tasks in a timely manner.

You technical experience will include much of the following:
Microsoft OS, Apple OSX, and Office software (Windows 7, Office 2013, OSX )
Mobile device configuration and troubleshooting (iPhone, iPad)
Peripheral equipment support (printer, keyboards, mice)
E‐mail & Network Connectivity troubleshooting (VPN, Outlook)
Windows Server
Networking (WAN, LAN, and Remote Access technology)
Desktop Security (Firewall, host‐based IPS/IDS, encryption)
Video Conferencing
