Rate:£25K to £37K Per Year
Description: Software Engineer - C / C++, Firmware, TCP/IP, Embedded

My client has been working at the forefront if its market for the past 50 years. Developing technology and devices to assist organisations across a variety of sectors - from military & civil oceanographic, environmental and life science they help to make the difference all of us benefit from.

They require a talented, ambitious software engineer to join their R&D team. This role would suit any individual keen to develop within a gifted team whilst developing products that have a positive impact on a wide range of organisations.

Key skills for this role include:

- C/C ++ for Windows and embedded microprocessors
- Solid hands-on coding skills in C/C ++ for embedded products.
- Firmware and software generation and maintenance from initial concept through to delivery, fully tested and documented.
- Understanding of Communications Protocols preferred (TCP/IP), Serial, USB, etc.

Beneficial skills on top of the above would include

- Windows GUI development with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Python scripting, C# and Java development
- Experience with Raspberry Pi or similar embedded Linux platforms.
- Proven commercial experience and an understanding of the full product development life-cycle
