Job Title: Rooms Division Manager

Rate:£35K.0000 to £48K. Per Year
Description: A new vacancy has arisen for a Hotel professional to take the next step in their career and work within a huge branded Hotel chain. This will suit someone already in a similar role, or somebody that has previously worked in a managerial role within the Hotel & Hospitality industry.

To manage a guest focused and progressive Rooms Division & operation ensuring maximum revenue achievement, whilst maintaining high standards of service, quality and guest & employee satisfaction.

Main Duties:

* Ensure effective co-ordination and management of all Room Division areas and facilitate effective working between all departments
* Ensure effective channels of communication are in place maximising the opportunities of distributing the information available and encouraging ideas and participation from the leadership team & their team members, through monthly meetings, daily morning briefings and daily operations meetings.
* Mobilise, lead & inspire the leadership team & their team members to build one high performing team in order to achieve business goals & service standards
* Liaise with Area Revenue Manager to ensure reservation patterns, overbooking and yield opportunities are maximised to best effect
* Train and coach leaders and their team
* Interviewing, hiring, induction, succession planning, talent mapping and development
* Set and maintain the highest level of personalised service and guest relations
* Monitor & evaluate team performance & perform PDP for department heads & set objectives
* Develop innovative solutions to enhance hotel wide communication
* Take a leadership position in managing integrity of data within Opera (PMS) to enable accurate guest history and sales information
* Build operational capability, knowledge and resources to meet long term business objectives
* Analyse business performance to identify and implement projects to enhance revenue opportunities, guest experiences, employee retention and profitability
* Project work such as Supporting the CSR strategy and the Place to Work team.
* Actively participate in the annual budgeting process, both for revenues and costs, and influence and control that budget thereafter
* Ensure that the hotel maintains a competitive edge by identifying product and service enhancements; set the direction and execute a service proposition to ensure a competitive advantage
* Implement strategies and actions to achieve annual revenue goals, including up selling and incremental sales programmes
* Assist the Hotel in achieving guest experience targets (LQA, Gallup) through good working practices and team liaison, and openly encourage and act upon feedback
* Actively solicit guest opinion by ensuring strong "lobby" presence
* Consider and respond to feedback received, develop contacts and networks
* Review and develop concepts, products, services and standards for the Hotel
* Formulate and oversee service recovery strategies to reduce any repeat occurrences
* Anticipate future guest trends and align service on offer in hotel


- Leadership and Business Development programmes

- Sound track record in deluxe hotel industry and Rooms Division leadership role

- Education and awareness of leadership effectiveness and accountability

-Good negotiator and influencer

-In depth knowledge of Rooms Division in all aspects

- High level of computer literacy

-Able to motivate and inspire people

-Thorough understanding of financial, HR and sales and marketing practices

-Proven experience in building and developing Guest Service Strategy

-Good knowledge of IT systems and their application in an hotel environment

-Proven ability to build internal relationships
