Job Title: Microwave / Digital Design Engineer
Location:Hertfordshire
Rate:£ Per Hour    Benefits: Competitive hourly rate
Description: Microware Design engineer required to perform the below tasks:
Rapid design and development of active mixed signal RF/microwave and high-speed digital circuits (including transmitters, receivers, microwave modules, synthesisers).
Interact with internal customers and suppliers to understand circuit design requirements, volume constraints and environmental specifications so that the final design is compliant with the overall requirements.
Provide technical advice and assistance in to engineering manager.

The contract is for 6 months initially (on-going thereafter) with a competitive hourly rate offered.

Candidates must have experience of the following:
Active Microwave, RF and Analogue Circuit Design.
Design, Simulation & Layout using ADS.
High-speed Digital electronics & FPGA Circuit Design (desirable).
Design and Simulation using Xilinx ISE (desirable).
Perform design proving test and trials in laboratory.
Diagnose hardware problems using various methods; e.g. visual inspection, signal/data analysis in design.
Knowledge of mixed signal board techniques.
Awareness of manufacturing techniques and capabilities.
Appreciation of mechanical design & module packaging.
Clear understanding of engineering tools, processes and procedures.
Be conversant with RF design tools including ADS, HFSS is also desirable but not essential.
Be able to write high quality test requirements and test reports.
Generate plan of activities.
Consistent ability to deliver required output within agreed timescales.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
