We are currently seeking an experienced Deployment/Project manager for a Premier Video and Broadband technology company, who’s products transform how service providers worldwide, deliver entertainment and communications without boundaries. Their powerful end-to-end platforms enable service and content providers to improve the way people connect. The Company’s vision and expertise continue to drive the industry’s innovations, as they have for more than 60 years. Headquartered in the US, with sales and support centres throughout the world, this role fits into their Global Professional Services offering, working on a major European infrastructure deployment.



Scope of role:



Provide project management and control support to cross-functional deployment teams comprised of multi-disciplined personnel to internal and contract team members for the effective completion of projects. Plan, conduct, and facilitate work in adherence to standard project deployment processes. Oversee the project to ensure defined project products are delivered in due time.

Work on assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Coordinate all field activities utilizing remedy systems and other internal tools. Provide leadership and mentoring to members of field staff.

Assist program manager with project progress and cost tracking and project accounting.


Responsibilities:

Agreeing project goals, objectives and deliverables.

* Manage project from definition to acceptance, in accordance with company defined deployment processes and procedures.
* Perform project planning, tracking, and reporting. Maintain project metrics, communicating project status, issues, and requirements both verbally and in writing.
* Identify and coordinate resources required in order to meet commitments, project goals and objectives.
* Management of project resources including subcontractors.
* Coordinate project scheduling activities including identifying project task dependencies and resource requirements, and assessing project risks/mitigation strategies.
* Coordinate all field activities on client sites and updates coordinated schedule for resources in the field.
* Work with customer and internal technical resources to complete deployment of projects.
* Serve as key escalation point for all technical and logistical issues during active projects.



Qualifications and Experience



* Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or Engineering.
* Significant experience in cable or related industry, including 5 years of progressive experience in operations management.
* Demonstrable experience building and managing a high-performance field teams of 7 or more staff
* Experience in project accounting
* Project Management experience in the following: Project Planning, Schedule Management, Resource Management, Risk Management, Escalation Management, Document Management, Change Management and Communication Management.
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and project metric tracking.
* Proficiency in MS Office and other supporting tools such as JIRA
* Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
* Technical understanding of integrated project delivery in the following areas: IPTV, DOCSIS, VOD/SDV, Transport Networks and Wireless
* Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
* Great communicator and customer facing relationship skills.
* PMP or Prince 2 Certification preferred.
* Languages: German; English
