Description: LETTINGS ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR / MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

MONDAY TO FRIDAY

SALARY: 18,000 - 22,000

My client a fast-growing forward thinking Lettings Company based in Leeds City Centre seeks an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

The primary function of this position is to assist the team of Portfolio Managers with their management of the portfolio. Ensuring that Landlords and Tenants receive a high standard of service which maintains the company’s reputation and profitability in accordance with organisational policy & procedure.

DUTIES:

• Inputting rents received from tenants onto system
• Generate landlord’s statements & payments
• Record & detail tenant deposits
• Managing rent arrears
• Booking maintenance works to be carried out on the properties we manage
• Post contactors invoices
• Pay contractors - bacs/cheques
• Utility/council tax bills when properties become vacant
• Update rent increases and renewals
• Supplier payments
• Quarterly vat returns
• Reconciliations of bank accounts
• Preparation and submission of monthly reports
• Assisting in answering telephones, filing & other ad hoc duties
• Working with the accounts department to ensure smooth processes
• Assisting with Property Management administration, including scanning contractor invoices onto the property management system
• Provide clerical support including but not limited to: filing, photocopying, faxing, delivering etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• Letting experience ideally with residential property
• Be able to demonstrate versatility & a rounded accounting skill set
• Pride yourself on a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Possess high computer literacy skills including Excel
• Be required to use your own initiative, be able to work under pressure and to deadlines and have excellent interpersonal
• Proven Project Management and Time Management skills.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written and the ability to liaise with people on all levels.
