Job Title: Planning CO-Ordinator
Rate:£22K to £25K Per Year    Benefits: annual bonus

My client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team member to join their team. I

Your role will be to assist the Planning team in preparing planning appraisals, undertaking background research, arranging project contracts / appointments, supporting team members in project coordination and planning application preparation /submissions, leading on condition discharges and minor applications, and attendance at meetings where required.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Assisting and management of portfolio

• To work alongside the planning team, supporting senior members where required across projects to appoint team members, to provide project liaison and arrange site access and document sharing.
• Ensuring projects are up to date with Health and Safety and Risk Assessment compliance in liaison with Planning, technical and colleagues.
• Working alongside admin team members to ensure all formal appointments and reliance’s are issued, received and communicated internally.
• Liaising with project teams where required to assist in senior colleagues progression of promotions and planning applications.
• To maintain policy, Neighbourhood Plan and consultation trackers and update team on forthcoming consultations.
• To provide informed advice confidently to internal teams to ensure compliance with Planning Consents.
• Working alongside senior planners to draft and submit representations, SHLAA forms and to respond to site specific policy requests from stakeholders or Councils where required.
• Assisting senior team members in the promotion and preparation of planning applications, discharge of conditions and amendments to consented schemes.
• Assisting or leading with senior supervision with the discharge of planning conditions and submission / determination of minor applications and advertisement applications.
• Working alongside the ecologists, organising surveys and coordinating the implementation of ecological mitigation with internal and external teams.

2) Planning Appraisals

• To assist the planning team by completing Planning Appraisals for all new potential development sites and supporting in District wide appraisals reporting to an assigned senior colleague.

3) Background Research and Meetings:

• Attendance at meetings to support senior colleagues by note taking, taking meeting minutes and assisting with administration.
• Assisting senior colleagues in meeting coordination and preparation on request.
• Assisting team members by undertaking policy research when requested.
• Updating trackers and monitors for policy and providing research output to senior colleagues where required.
• Attend internal meetings to represent the Planning team where required.
• To provide support where required across the team.
• Participate in team or to advise on content of external attended.
