Job Title: Project Manager (Engineering)
Location:Birmingham
Rate:£20K to £30K Per Year
Description: Project Manager (PRINCE 2) Salary c20,000 - 30,000 DOE + Benefits

Based: Birmingham

Our client, a leading engineering firm who design and manufacture high precision tools for the automotive, medical and retail industries are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The role could also suit an experienced Project Co-ordinator who is ready to progress their career. You will be responsible for running a variety of projects within the business working alongside the Sales Manager and Technical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take ownership of all projects within the business from project initiation to completion
* Work with Technical Director to ensure all projects are delivered on-time and to spec
* Document and administer the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management software
* Create documentation for Project plans including; minutes, issue logs, risk registers etc.
* Facilitate and manage Project meetings and keep project documentation up to date
* Produce regular status reports for stakeholders both internal and external
* Contribute and support other team members and coordinate projects accordingly
* Work with Sales Manager and Technical Director to identify key dates and maintain up to date project plans
* Deliver Projects and tasks to agreed timescale
* Evaluate and analyse project time and cost to facilitate Lessons Learnt sessions and reports

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Degree in relevant subject, e.g.; Business and PRINCE2 or equivalent in Project Management
* An understanding of or background in engineering would be helpful although not essential
* Confident understanding and use of Microsoft Office Applications including MS Project
* Strong presentation skills and ability to create confidence and trust with stakeholders
* Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to work with financial analysts
* Excellent administrative and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
* Strong ability to work in a team as well as a self-motivated individual
* Willing to learn the business – full training will be given
