Job Title: Project Manager
Rate:£34.00 to £40.00 Per Hour
Description: Our client is an Aerospace company based in Bedfordshire. They now require a project manager from an aerospace/avionic background for a 6 month rolling contract.

Role overview
The role will be functionally responsible for the management of key projects, including delivering projects on time, within budget and scope.

The successful candidate will be accountable for:
Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects;
Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility, resource availability and allocation;
Developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress;
Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs;
Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting and escalating to management as needed;
Successfully managing the relationship with all stakeholders, third parties and vendors;
Performing risk management to minimise project risks;
Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation;
Contributing to the development and execution of PMO processes.

The following key skills and knowledge are required:
Proven experience of managing complex product development projects and project
management training;
Intermediate to advanced MS Project, Excel and Office skills;
Excellent organisational, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills;
Good interpersonal skills with a proficiency to complete/finish projects with excellent attention to detail;
A qualification in an engineering field is desirable;
Proven experience in project management in the aerospace/defence/engineering sectors will be advantageous.
