Reporting to: UK Sales Director

Main Purpose and Scope:

• The primary goal of the role is to ensure that the range of Fluidmaster In-Wall products become the preferred choice of Architects and Specifiers.

• Work closely with the Fluidmaster UK Trade Sales team and Fluidmaster UK’s key customers in order to ensure that, at every given opportunity, the Fluidmaster range of In-wall cisterns, frames and associated products are proposed as the preferred alternative to any other specified In-wall product.

• Pro-actively liaise, consult and engage with key specifiers, including architects and developers associated with the hotel and leisure sector, commercial offices, healthcare and local authorities and provide a service that will deliver outstanding design solutions along with a client experience above and beyond industry standards.

Areas of Responsibility:

Specification Sales Management

• Selectively utilise all available information resources to identify opportunities to write Fluidmaster In-wall product into specifications during all stages of design.

• Draw upon experience and prior use of all relevant tools in order to manage and drive the Specification campaign through targeted networking.

• Carry out research to identify potential new clients and actively pursue new clientele opportunities.

• Conduct product meetings and presentations within the relevant target markets, develop and maintain a rapport with new and existing clients, and subsequently follow through to the point of order.

• Analyse client requirements on projects to prepare appropriate strategies and design solutions.

• Ensure client satisfaction at all times, ensuring issues are resolved in order to achieve repeat business, and ensure long term client relationships.

• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, and provide relevant reports and information to UK Sales Director.

• Work closely with the Product Manager and Marketing Co-ordinator to achieve key strategic marketing objectives.

• Support the UK Sales Director, as and when requested, including new business enquiries, Sales Meetings, exhibitions, promotional days and specific projects.

• Liaise closely with Engineering Department and ensuring Sales Department are kept aware of developments.

• Submit customer visit reports to update UK Sales Director, ensure Commercial Office staff are kept informed, where appropriate.

• Design the content of and then deliver CPD training sessions to identified relevant groups.

• Assist in enabling the use of BIM and modelling software.

• Attend any such training and development course, as deemed appropriate by the Company.

Person Specification:

• Full UK driving licence.

• Excellent communication and organisation skills.

• Keen understanding of architecture and interior design, ideally gained from within the plumbing sector.

• At least 5 years’ relevant specification sales experience, preferably gained from within the kitchen/bathroom plumbing sector.

• Customer focussed and commercially aware.

• Motivational team leader.

• IT literate – good knowledge of MS Office, BIM, modelling software and ERP systems advantageous.

• Process-driven and ability to implement new systems.

• Good standard of general education and specialist sales training preferable.
